Hello, I this might be the wrong spot but I'm not sure what the proper outlet is for this so I apologise ahead of time.
In the case of Grymse's ban on mythic I found it peculiar and thought I should speak up about it.
I could be ignorant of all the facts by this is what I've heard, if this is indeed true I'm not sure grymse's ban was just. My info is from talking to grymse and other players as well as being online while grymse was active.
First addressing his interactions with others on the server. When grymse was active on mythic a few weeks back there was obvious tensions in chat. However toxicity derived from it was very much held by all the groups involved so it seems odd only that only grymse got punished.
Grymse basically joined, beat everyone in PVP which ended up making a lot of people upset. Though I'm not a fan of PVP, what he did doesn't seem illegal, and anything that could of been illegal regarding chat was very much an equal partnership with the people he fought.
Next I've heard he has been punished for "exploits" the only thing I've heard of for this is using more then 3 lunars.
This notion seems ridiculous to me as using more then 3 modifiers has been common knowledge and actively used in any 1.7.10 server with ars magica including mythic by players and even staff in the past.
Using more then 3 modifiers has been around longer and been a far more common knowledge then heart can stacking, enchant stacking, and pendants. Not to mention it's a lot less over powered then most of the above mentioned things.
If we are calling more then 3 modifiers illegal now. (Which I will mention I believe to be silly). Grymse should of received warning for it, and several players doing ars magica on mythic would deserve equal notice, as only Grymse to my knowledge got in trouble for this.
Next I've heard the argument of killing in claims. Grymse has never intentionally killed in a claim, in fact the people that hated him aka the people he constantly beat in PVP often refused to fight him unless he tpa'ed to them.
They would often tpa him to the border of their claim. In hindsight this was likely to help push the ban by claiming claim bypass. It is true that grymse can bypass claims for PVP, but this is true for the majority of players who do any form of serious PVP.
Also in hindsight Grymse should of denied the demands of the people trying to PVP him but the notion of having to go through those precautions is ridiculous. It's obvious that forcing a person to fight you near your claim has likely alternative motive, especially so when they verbally and publicly showed dislike of grymse.
The last thing I can think of is the day he got banned. On the day of his ban the group of people who harbored a grudge where dieing Alot inside their own base. The death message was similar to that of when Grymse kills them.
I adamently believe this was not Grymse, as soon as this started to occur I had him stay in my base with Senior moderator Arc to ensure he didn't get falsely accused for what I assumed was a frame job. I'm not sure if the acts where caused by a third party or themselves, but grymse was absent from the scene.
Some other things to note, they constantly mentioned they heard someone teleporting around, when Grymse was in my base. They also accused Grymse is using taglocks which was able to be proven false as Grymse has not touched a taglocks for days.
To summarize, Grymse may of done bad things in the past but he should of received punishment in the past if so. While he was online in the present, he did not do anything particularly wrong except upseting people by beating them in fair PVP by standard PVP rulesets, and using more then 3 modifiers which had already been occuring before Grymse. The people he was in conflict with where equally troublesome to the server as Grymse and yet only grymse received punishment.
